Welcome to http://www.telecommute.today.com. This blog will be all about telecommuting - otherwise known as working at home, working from home, e-work, e -commuting, tele-work, working virtually, to name a few. What is telecommuting? Telecommuting is being able to perform your job off the job site for part or all of the week. Simple as that. Most of the telecommuters’ work is done through the computer, phone, and fax machine. As far as industries go, the sky’s the limit. Research, financial, legal, journalism/writing, blogging, marketing and PR, sales, consulting, administrative assistance, social work, and nursing are some the fields that are offer good opportunities for the telecommuter.
Through the life of this blog, I will discuss various telecommuting topics. Perhaps the most popular for all is how to find a telecommuting job and what are some telecommuting jobs out there. This will be the meat of the blog. Other topics I will discuss will include benefits and drawbacks of telecommuting from both the telecommuters’ standpoint to the company and environments’ point of view, outsourcing, scams, skills needed, the day and life of a telecommuter and more!
